Joanna + Tom: Engagement

04.06.2009

Share

Joanna + Tom were up for anything so we decided to shoot them in one of our favorite places. It’s the one place we’ve actually shot more than once. There’s so much to work with it never gets old!

Thanks Joanna + Tom for such a fun time! Hope you had a great birthday Tom!

Then the cops rolled up, opened our car door left it open. But at least they were nice and didn’t give us a ticket!

Karissa + Richard Engagement: Bloomingdales + Long Beach

04.03.2009

Share

We had such an adventure with Karissa + Richard. Where didn’t we shoot them?! First we started at Bloomingdales. We had to shoot there because that’s how they met; he was her shoe boy! So we were sneaky and shot from the hip. (And when I say “we”, I mean Jeremy since I’m too chicken!) Next up we tried to get on a cruise ship, to which the guard said, “oh you’re a passenger on that ship?” and we said yes. Then he said, “The one that already boarded all the passengers?” Haha. We got nothing. Then Belmont Shore and a candy store. Last but not least, we ended up by some really great trees.

Thanks so much Karissa + Richard for a fun filled day of adventures!

Look who else enjoyed the candy store?! Yep, you guessed it. Little buddy.
kr165

I like big boots and I can not lie!
kr17

Random that we ended up by this tree, which is located at a park right by my sister’s house!
kr18

I’m in love with the movement and life in these.

The guy on the bike and the one with the skateboard make this for me.

They took us to this amazing place called The Boiling Crab. We waited 2.5 hours to eat. Worth it!

Emily + Jony, Waverly Chapel Wedding

03.30.2009

Share

Jony Bos is the kind of person everyone loves. To steal a line from one of my favorite movies, “To know Jony Bos is to love him.” He’s just that likable. Who doesn’t like Jony Bos?!  I asked him that very question at their engagement and he said ONE time in high school there was this guy that hated him, for no reason. And I just laughed; everyone loves Jony Bos!! (BTW, for some reason, we have to say “Jony Bos”. ) And Emily is everything we prayed for in a wife for our Jony Bos. She’s beautiful from the inside-out, sweet, artistic and articulate. Lucky for me, I’ve gotten to know Emily and I love her just as much!

It was an honor to share this day with our dear friends!

***Emily’s birdcage veil and her dress are from The Dresser in Fullerton.***

Emily looked amazing.

This one is for Jony. He said he always wanted to marry someone with a nose just like Emily’s adorable one!em7

Have I mentioned how much I adore Emily’s veil?!
em8

These girls were such a fun and supportive bunch!
em10

Emily’s grandpa recently passed away so she put his boutonniere on her bouquet. A lovely way to keep him close.

I loved how happy everyone is for this couple and how fun the girls are!

Haha! Jony’s brothers, brother from another mother, and his new brothers.

I just about died when I saw this picture! The camera loves Emily!

em24

One of my faves taken by Jeremy. But don’t tell him it’s my favorite : )em25

Too adorable!
em265

I loved the picture of Jony singing to Emily because it’s reminds me of Dirty Dancing at the end! Haha! And the father daughter dance was so touching.
em27

This was hilarious! Emily’s brothers (one of which is the lead-singer to an awesome band we love; Melee) made up a song called “Alien Sister” all about Emily. Everyone was laughing!
em28

Jony painted this huge canvas that they used for the seating chart. So creative. They also designed their invites, which I will post at a later date.
em29

What’s a friend’s wedding without funny dancing pictures? These ones cracked me up. There’s so many funny ones I may have to dedicate a whole blog to them!

Keily + Gregg: Santana Row Engagement

03.29.2009

Share

Keily and Gregg are so much fun and super good looking! He is from Australia, so I just want to listen to his accent! It was so much fun talking to them. They met at a job they both had; he was her boss! We were lucky enough to meet them at Jackie + Joe wedding.

We met up with Keily at their wedding site in Los Gatos called Nestledown. OMG! One of the most beautiful sites we’ve seen. We are very excited for their wedding in April! Here’s a teeny preview of what it looks like:kg1

Then we headed to Santana Row.

I love her sassy-ness!

Then we got kicked out of the hotel! Boo!! But it’s okay because we got those chain shot; the damage was done!

These are the cupcakes that Keily + Gregg will have at their reception. We (and when I say “we”, I mean me) had to try. This is what the best cupcake I’ve ever tasted looks like. I like Sprinkles, but these were seriously amazing. I felt high after! Kara’s Cupcakes:

kg19

Thank you Keily + Gregg for a wonderful weekend, lunch, the chain idea and just a great time! We can not wait for your wedding!!

Karissa + Richard Teaser

03.23.2009

Share

Yep, another teaser! I’m sorry but I just can’t post another full blog here when I know I have a much shinier one waiting for me! Yes, it’s almost done. For realsies. I have so many new blogs for you next week!

Karissa + Richard were so much fun! We shot at so many places including: Bloomingdale’s, by a cruise ship (more on that later) a Candy store, several spots in Long Beach and somehow we randomly ended up right by my sister’s house, also in Long Beach!
