I had a very busy week! I started off with a birthday shoot on Tuesday, then an Engagement on Saturday. I took my friends with me to Universal City Walk. We made a girl day of it and left early since you never know with L.A traffic. We had a delicious lunch at Cafe Tu Tu Tango. And Brandie, who’s a make-up artist expressed interest in photography and shot with me. She has, as she calls it “an amazing eye for color”.

I loved these eyes from the art on the wall.

For this sweetie’s birthday, we went to the beach. My philosophy on kids is to let them be kids and work with that. Why would anyone want a fake picture that doesn’t show what the kid is really like? They may be hateful at times, but that is how they really are! And that great, perhaps hateful moment should be captured forever. These cuties were fun to be around with only a minimal amount of crying. But that makes for more interesting pictures!

He got soaked by the wave and was a little upset about it!

After all it is all about the birthday girl.

Mattie Mae is also the name of Lia’s (Mattie’s mom) line of cards for parties and special occasions. You can find them (if they’re not sold out) at Wonderland Bakery in Newport Beach. She is possiblly working on wedding invitations that I’m very excited about!

For my mom’s and brother’s birthday, we went to San Diego to celebrate. Since my husband couldn’t come with me, I brought the next best thing, my good friend Brandie (otherwise known as Brandandie). We all had such a great time when my Step-Dad stuffed our faces with food as is our tradition!

My sister in law is the one making a huge mess! (Sorry Diane, I had to put it up!) The determind look on my face is due to the fact that I’m walking toward Brandie and she has the home-made chocolate chip ice cream. Yummy.

Since I’m such a HUGE football fan, I did a make-up shoot on Superbowl Sunday. I think that’s the most fun I’ve ever had on a Superbowl Sunday! My friend, Brandie did an awesome job with the make-up and Libby was our gorgeous model. Brandie’s email is brandiebedell@hotmail.com.
