I got this from the hilarious blog, Photographer’s Math.

Going to WPPI in Vegas for the photography convention (or fun convention?) of the year. I don’t actually go to the convention, I go to the trade show and all the parties. I meet lots of people, see old friends, talk photography, learn stuff and party like it’s 1999. So I’ll be out of the office for awhile. I’ll be checking my emails.

Holga 120 Film from Hawaii

Some 120 film I took in Kailua and Lanikai beaches. I love how they turned out. Little underexposed and a little overlapping but I still want to make wallpaper out of them! Perfection is overrated.

For those of you who want to know: 120 100 color film, cross-processed.

I LOVE what Brittany said about how she felt when seeing her engagement pictures!

I can tell you that your pictures were a huge breath of fresh air in the midst of all that madness. They are wonderful. I couldn’t help but smile as I looked through them. I’ve often wondered what my face looks like when I get that warm “I-have-so-much-love-inside-me-it-feels-like-I-might-explode” feeling. And there it is… right on film, for me to keep forever. I really truly am so grateful to have such a gifted photographer… one that is able to capture “us”.. even when we are being our somewhat shy & awkward selves, you make it work… and you make it work beautifully . Thank you thank you thank you! I can’t wait for the wedding pictures!

Brittany + Steven Engagement

Brittany and Steven are really cool and inspirational couple. I kept commenting on how cute Brittany’s outfits were and of course they were from my favorite store ever, Anthropologie. Their wedding is this Saturday and the details make me very excited!

Steven is a graphic designer and made the rad invitation! I want to hang it on my wall.

How much do I love this couple? A lot, thanks for asking. They are too adorable together. Catie is a woman after my own heart with her love of everything vintage. I’m giddy over all the vintage-amazingness that will be their wedding! Flying out to Arizona next month to shoot it and I couldn’t be more excited!

2 random things: Ben said I remind him of someone from Dallas. And Catie’s brother called me an English Nanny! HA!

I’m back from Hawaii and until I can do a full blog, enjoy the instant film from The Holgaroid that I took on Kailua and Lanikai Beaches. I felt like taking mostly film pictures on my trip and I can’t wait to get the rest developed!

My nephew Jack took this picture of The Mokes from Lanikai Beach. I love it!

For the next week I will be in Hawaii visiting my sister. While she’s at work I’m going to read books on the beach, think of ways to better my business and do some personal reflection. Fun and photography are on the agenda as well. I’m so looking forward to it!
