Amber + Matt, Arizona Wedding

05.18.2011

Share

School Chapel: Brophy Prep in Phoenix
Reception: Dessert Camp at DC Ranch in Scottsdale
Coordinator: Amina Michelle at Some Like it Classic

Inspiration: Anthropologie with a little mix of vintage and Southern charm, yellow and gray.

From Amber, “When we got engaged and starting talking about what kind of wedding we wanted, we envisioned what we love doing-throwing (as well as attending) parties and gatherings. We knew we wanted to transfer this personality into a “backyard” stylish reception and found the perfect place in North Scottsdale to host it. And so you have it, complete with mason jar drinks, vintage window frames, burlap fabric, cigars, beach cruisers, and macaroni and cheese!!”

The Frank Sinatra House details.

This is one of the coolest things I’ve seen at a wedding. Record seating chart/menus. Here’s what Jessie had to say about them:

“Being as we were at the Sinatra House, we went with what we considered a “soft” music theme. The invites were CD booklets with a custom mix of wedding jams for the guest to get on board for the big day. For the Wedding itself we wanted each guest to get an album cover that reflected our relationship to them. We used the Album booklet as our program, complete with crosswords and the history of the house. The Albums themselves we used as seating charts and menu.”

How cool are these?!

Happy Valentine’s Day, Polaroid Heart

02.14.2011

Share

I’ve been wanting to make a Polaroid heart for years since I first saw it in Domino or on some blog many years ago. V-Day actually inspired me to finally do it. I thought about making it out of my favorite Polaroids but then thought each image wouldn’t be appreciated like it deserved. So, what’s a girl to do?

Instead I decided to make it out of the mistakes I made trying to figure out how to use my dang Holgaroid. I like the idea of making something out of what didn’t quite turn out the way you wanted. Although these are rejects separately (even though I actually like a lot of them) together they make something great as a whole. That’s a lot like life and love and that’s the kinda thing that makes me happy.

I call it my Reject Heart.

Tawny + Brent, Seven Degrees Wedding

06.03.2010

Share

Tawny + Brent had so many fun details at their wedding at Seven Degrees in Laguna Beach. It was such a great day!

Coordinator: Kerrie Underhill
Officiant: You May Kiss The Bride
Hair: Tara Alexander (redpinupdoll13@aol.com)
Makeup: Anthony Ngyuen (startupchime@yahoo.com)
Florist: Gena Aguilar (teatime1@earthlink.net)
Cake: Some Crust Bakery
Photobooth: Cheesy Photobooths

Hello Lover.

All the girl’s shoes and flowers matched the guy’s ties, socks and boutonnieres.

Even though they did a first look, it’s still very emotional when they’re actually getting married.

The details at the reception were so fun!

The invitation designed by Tawny.

They had a photo booth so we had to get in on the action. My favorite is the random guy who crashed our pic! Ha! Thanks Tawny + Brent for having us!
