Alvarez Maternity

What does a pug, a family, cloudy weather, burned trees and pretty flowers all have in common? There were all a part of this shoot! It was so much fun to shoot this wonderful family on my favorite kind of day and in my favorite kind of place. What more could I want?! They are all the sweetest people ever and it was such a joy.

We did their shoot on April 14. Saharai had Gabriel April 16! Congratulations Alvarez Family!

This is what my favorite kind of day looks like:

Meet Lucas.

Meet me boring Lucas!

Zoe is a student from El Dorado High. She chose us to job-shadow for a project. She got some good shots!

I just fell in love with this couple!

I also fell in love with this dog!

Saharai is amazingly gorgeous and photogenic.

Having a baby reminds me of the Lensbaby, so I tend to use it more on Maternity shoots! Ha!

Gabriel’s first toy car, from where they grew up, Venezuela.

She had such cute outfits!

Amy + John + Albi The Black Schnauzer

11.18.2008

Share

“I kissed a schnauzer; I liked it! The taste of his little black lips!” John made up this song to the beat of the “I kissed a girl” song. He sings this song, which leads Amy to sing this song, which leads innocent bystanders to wake up in the middle of the night singing, “I kissed a schnauzer…”

I think this is my fave. So Christmas-y!

Even Albi is smiling!

Isn’t Mr. Albi so handsome?!

Hi Fiiive!

Thank you John + Amy for a fun night and wonderful dinner! It’s so much fun to do your Christmas Cards every year!

Staci & Nick, Wedding at The Community Power House in Del Mar….

05.15.2008

Share

Staci and Nick had a lovely wedding at The Community Power House in beautiful Del Mar. One of the coolest things about their wedding was they had both their dogs in it. (As you saw from the previous post.) It was really fun having them around. Everyone was very calm and it was just a nice day. It ended up being very cloudy, which made the light so nice and soft.

Some of our faves:

Bride’s shoes.

Groom’s shoes.

I liked this pattern with the rings.

I heart reflections.

Staci said, “Aren’t the guys usually the ones preparing the vows at the last minute?!”

Groom getting ready. Not as glamorous as the bride!

Clip ons?!?!?

She has such a beautiful smile! I think she’s smiling in every photo!

Everyone signed the surf board.

Cute cupcakes.

Reading their own vows.

He enjoys the ceremony.

Just cause!

First dance.

More fun with reflections.

I hardly ever post bouquet tosses and this one is fun!

We hope Staci and Nick are enjoying their honeymoon in Tahiti!! They’re probably missing their dogs! : )
