Always a photographer, never a bridesmaid..

…. or groomsmen.

Jeremy and I were actually in our friend’s wedding. While we were excited to be included in wedding festivities, it was very strange to experience the wedding as a bridesmaid and groomsman. We decided to bring our cameras just to document the day from our perspectives. (It’s really hard NOT to bring a camera everywhere!) And I’m so glad we did!

Speaking of cameras, there were four photographers IN the wedding party and more at the wedding!

We are so happy for our friends and had such an amazing time being a part of this wonderful day. Mary Frances was the photographer. They were so nice and did a fantastic job! Make sure you check their blog for more “official” pics of this great wedding!

Our dresses are from my favorite-est store ever, Anthropologie! I had so much fun getting ready with the girls. Wedding festivities are fun!

Roya looked amazing! Amy putting her super red lips!

I loved her tweed shoes!

How bout Jeremy, always with his mouth open!! haha35

She was kind enough to allow the many photogs a shot! This is exactly when I took the one below….33

The amazingly gorgeous bride!

This is for Amy. She always complains she does my makeup all cool and then I go and cover it up with my glasses!

rm14

This is what happens when you leave your camera unattended at a party with photographers. I laughed so hard when I found these!

rm15

This could mean trouble. Um I mean, yes it WAS trouble!rm16

We love you both SOOO much Roya + Mike!! Thanks for sharing your day with us! We are going to miss you when you move :(

Paris + David, Engagement: Hollywood

06.08.2009

Share

Paris + David actually live in Vegas, but wanted their E Session in LA. They were so sweet and took us out to The Griddle Cafe and then we walked around and found fun spots to shoot. We couldn’t be more excited for their amazing wedding (you’ll see why at the end of this month!)

First spot, where they had their first date! A movie theater where you can drink.

Paris is so fun and creative. She brought the prop.

Polariods from the Holgaroid

06.05.2009

I’ve been meaning to post more Polaroids! I’m still trying to get them to come out exactly right, but I’m kinda liking all the non-perfect-ness of it! My scans are kinda crappy too, but I really wanted to post them.

Hope you enjoy my fun little experiment! In case you were wondering, this is a Holgaroid.

Lindsey + Patrick, Engagement: Norco

06.02.2009

Share

First we shot Lindsey + Patrick in the kitchen, then we went to our second and third locations. Kinda funny we ended up shooting this San Francisco couple in Norco! We had planned to go to one of our spots off the side of a road (those are the best ones) and then to an abandoned and condemned house we’ve been chomping at the bit (haha horse humor in Norco?!) to shoot at. We get there and the city tore it down! Two days before the shoot. I think I saw a tear in Jer’s eye! But we ended up finding another abandoned house and it ended up perfect.

Thanks to Lindsey + Patrick for being up for anything and just being awesome people! We heart you!

Lindsey + Patrick, Engagement: Vintage Kitchen

06.01.2009

Since Patrick is a huge fan of cookie dough and Lindsey loves to bake cookies, (a gal after my own heart) they wanted to incorporate that into their shoot. We kept thinking where we could find the perfect kitchen, then we went over to our friend’s house for dinner and that was it! Everything worked out perfect and we had so much fun doing this!

Thanks to my wonderful friend and hairstylist extraordinaire, Melody for letting us use her cute kitchen!

We also shot more of these two outside and I can’t wait to post those!
