A wonderful day….

05.29.2007

On May 18, Jeremy and I shot Ellie & Matt’s wedding at the Wayfarer’s Chapel. It was special place for them since Matt’s parent’s got married there years ago. It was a really cloudy day (just like the engagement) but as soon as we got to the reception at Parker’s Lighthouse, it was beautifully sunny.

We were so happy for them! These are the kinds of weddings that make all discouraging times worth it. And they even fed us and gave us the most amazing present ever. Ellie’s mom, Karen Schnepf is an artist and they gave us one of her works of art. They have no idea how much we appreciate that. I almost cried when I opened it! We love it.

We made a slideshow of some of the highlights of the day. Hope you enjoy!

Thank you so much Ellie and Matt for having us be a part of your wedding day!

Sophie's Fashionable Bat Mitzvah

05.27.2007

Share

Today we shot a fun Bat Mitzvah in a cute room at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion. Sophie choose a vintage fashion theme that I, of course can appreciate! Everything was so cute and Sophie’s personality came through every detail. The family was so fun and nice to be around. They all just love each other so much!

Some of the table details.

Sophie.

The vintage dresses.

The loving family.

I love this moment!

Having fun dressed up!

Sophie, her sisters, brother and Dad gave speeches.

Instead of having a guest book, they had everyone sign this!

We had such a great time with everyone. Thank you for having us!

Baby Hayden…

05.25.2007

Share

Yesterday evening we did a shoot with a cute couple and their brand new baby. Hayden is only 1 month old! They are my sister’s really good friends and as a gift, she got them a photo shoot! We were so happy to be a part of that, especially since Jay is leaving on Monday to go overseas. They are the sweetest family and we even love their dogs!

Hayden and Daddy.

A nursery collage.

We loved the contrast with the tats and the baby.

This is the calm dog shot by me.

I love this moment Jeremy caught.

So much going on!

The whole fam.

This is the crazy dog shot by Jeremy.

She loves to put her hands out!

They never look happier than when they look at their new baby.

Thank you Anjie & Jay for letting us capture your family! We hope you have a safe trip Jay!

They just got engaged on Easter.

Jeremy shot this and it’s awesome!

I love this little fun moment.

My Brother gets committed…

05.18.2007

Saturday, my step brother got hitched to his Cuban connection (as he calls it!) My step dad pointed out that they’re like Ricky and Lucy but the other way around!
Me and Jerm were guests for the first time in a very long time. I actually can’t remember the last time we went to a wedding that we didn’t shoot. It was fun to be able to dance and have a good time! We had a lot of fun with my family.

Here’s some fun pics from our evening:

Sisters Diane, Gypsy (that’s her real name!) and yours truly. My hair by Melody and make-up by Amy.

Us with our bright blue outfits!

Diane and George Jr. having fun on their night out.

Diane and George Sr.

The party by Jeremy.

Thanks to Sr. and Bill I had a lot of these!
